Double door mineral wagons built for British Railways between 1950 - 1952 as running in the 1970s and early 1980s. There were 1,000 of riveted and 1,500 of welded construction. All lacked continous brakes so they were phased out in about 1986 - their last use being to work coal to the docks in South Wales. Details and drawings were published in Larkin, David & Mann, Trevor (1983b) British Railways 21 ton Mineral Wagons. Model Railway Constructor vol. 50 (part 595) pp 637 - 641. and Bartlett et al 1985. NOTE some photographs are low quality scans and may not print. Accurascale produced a RTR model of the welded version in 2021.
