100 dropside open merchandise were built on part of lot 2061, possibly as Pipe wagon. They were unpopular, as the doors were too heavy. All should have been vacuum braked in the later 1950s, but some remained with independent brake until 1980s. Drawing in BR Wagons, Bartlett et al.
