There were 3150 low open merchandise wagons built for British Railways. Early ones had an LNER style wooden body on a LMS vacuum brake frame. Later ones had two distinct styles of steel body with varying vacuum brake riggings. Details, including drawings are in Bartlett, Paul W. & Mann, Trevor., (1987) BR Lowfit Wagons. Model Railway Constructor vol. 54 (part 633) pp 82 - 85 & 107 - 109 and Bartlett Et al 1985.
