Details:
From 1945 the LNER introduced open merchandise wagons with steel bodies, initially retaining a wooden door, but later these were changed to steel. Later the sides had 'dimples' inside of these were rings for tying loads. Many had the typical LNER vacuum brake, most of the unfitted ones were converted by BR to vacuum brake. Many models exist, including ABS and Slaters. Also Bachmann RTR model.
