The LNER had two very distinctive designs of Tube wagons. One type built over a period of 15 years (and made much more numerous by BR building the same design on their lot lists) which had the entire side dropping as a pair (of very heavy!) doors. In later years they were popular with S&T engineers. There was just a single batch of the second design, a shorter 'box on wheels' which lacked any doors.
