The Slope sided Mineral was introduced by Chas Roberts and large numbers were built, initially for private owners and during WW2 for the Ministry of War Transport. BR condemned them all by 1967; Unlike other Mineral wagons of similar age very few were saved for either the engineers fleet (possibly none at all) nor for internal user fleets. Parkside make 4 and 7mm kits and Bachmann make a RTR model of these. A drawing is in Bartlett et al (1984) (the number details are dreadfully incorrect in this – for correct details and other drawings see Fidczuk, Peter. (1991) Modellers Backtrack vol. 1 (part 3) pp 124 - 133. and (part 4) pp 148 - 156.
