A batch of 100 BR designed tipplers owned by Lancashire Wagon Co. built by Central Wagon in 1962. When photographed vacuum cylinders were retained, but they had been converted to unfitted. There was also a small batch of wagons which are described elsewhere as tipplers, but the two here are mineral wagons, unlike any on BR.

Any idea where these wagons were used, Paul? I remember seeing a single one at Stoke Down Yard in 1979 or 1980, but was on the top floor of the bus, and so couldn't take any details. I have a feeling it was grey, rather than brown, in colour, but carried the 'Central Wagon' markings in large enough script to be readable from some distance away.
