A holiday at Salou in August 1966 permitted some railway photography. The mainline from Tarragona avoided Salou, but had a gradient, so the heavy freights, usually hauled by Garratts, went along the more easily graded coast line.
A narrow gauge line ran from Reus to Salou, passing immediately alongside the hotel we stayed at.
