BAA were introduced in 1973. Very successful, only 40ft. long with 100ton GLW, many were fitted with a considerable variety of coil cradles and later high triangular stanchions. A few special conversions. 306 built. A few received Thrall active motion bogies under EWS ownership. Models from Bachmann in 4mm and Graham Farish in 2mm.
