British Railways continued to build an LNER design of coal carrying hopper. Many had bodies of welded construction but a good number were rivetted. There were three diagrams allocated to these but there were also many small variations. The photographs show the wagons towards the end of their lives - many were rebodied from the mid 1960s onwards.
