In 1969 BR built 52 covered hopper wagons to carry limestone to steelworks. The design was based on the Merry go round coal carrying hoppers of the time. A further 4 were built in 1977 possibly as a replacement for some damaged wagons.
NOTE – The photographs which have [m] at the end of the file name are low quality scans and may not print well. I will sustitute rescans for larger prints but this may delay production.
