Vacuum braked Boplates were converted to several uses including to carry early ISO containers and were suitably branded as Conflat ISO. The Conflats carried various traffics during the 1970s including, in South Wales, to carry flat containers arranged with longitudinal wooden beams to support coils. Some examples of these are illustrated; some with TOPS code FEW showing that they were also air braked.
