Inaugurated on 22/04/1968 a regular service ran from London Stratford terminal to Paris using the train ferries for transfer. This was well before the Channel Tunnel. It used British Railways Freightliner container carrying flats converted for the cross Channel rail ferries. A rake is recorded at Aylesbury in March 1976.
