A single batch of shocroof A were built equipped with a flat McGregor roller roof. These were followed by a single batch of 300 Shock hood Bs at Derby in 1962-3. They were lettered for the Western Region and this seems to have been were most remained. By the late 1970s they were TOPS code OSV and later a few were OSW with an air through pipe. By 1979 some were having the shock gear removed and they became DACE as ballast open wagons with TOPS code either ZDV or ZCV. A drawing was published by Trev Mann in Bartlett et al 1984 on page 63. NOTE – Some of these photographs are low quality scans and may not print well. Do not order larger prints.
