Mobil had a fleet of only 17 tank wagons for Liquified Petroleum Gas. There were two distincive designs, both with long wheelbase. They were reportedly for a traffic between Mobil's Coryton (Thameshaven) refinery and Hereford for Henry Wiggins Nickel works. Especially the second batch had short lives with some (perhaps all 6) being used for the frames of internal user scrap wagons at Sheerness Steel.
