An unusual fleet of 300 tipplers owned by Ti-Oxide Ltd for Ilmenite imports. They were branded TO WORK BETWEEN IMMINGHAM DOCKS AND GRIMSBY ONLY. This restriction was important, as they were unfitted. They were converted by using the frames from a variety of tank wagons, including by reducing the length of 22ton VB ones. Others were on shorter frames. The conversions were by Davis between 1974 - 8. The TOPS code, PSO does not appear to have been carried. When new they had BTP in large letters on the side panels - a few of the wagons show where this has been painted out, for example BT24533.
