The Mayor and Mayoress were accompanied by the Sherrif and his wife on the morning of 23 February 2013. They all took considerable interest in the show and the modelling done from scratch. They all carried their chains of office, all of extreme age. Personally, I was surprised to learn that the multiple chains worn by the Mayoress were 360 years old - they looked more suitable for either the 21st C or for a 1920s 'flapper'.
