During the 1980s various French companies operated a variety of bogie tank wagons carrying various chemicals to and from the UK on the train ferries. The chemicals included Acetonitrile, Titanium tetrachloride, Latex, Diisocyanate of Toluene, Hexamethylene diamine, liquid chalk/clay, Propanol. The Chunnel killed most of this traffic.
