A visit in 1988 to the very busy Coalite production plant at Grimethorpe. It is sad to report that the colliery closed in May 1993 and the plant by 1994. The tippler was in continual use. The internal wagons were a variety of hopper wagons, some of which showed signs of having moved from other Coalite sites in Yorkshire - Askern and Caster which closed earlier.
