Built between 1956 and 1965 there were 99 standard gauge Janus industrial locos in the UK. Each had a pair of Rolls Royce engines, the locos were 400 hp originally, later uprated.
Locos from Scunthorpe, Aldwarke, Stocksbridge, F. Yeoman Grain, Shelton Stoke. Locomotives are sometimes moved between different steel works - Scunthorpe, Aldwarke and Stocksbridge.
