The LMS inherited many low drop side wagons, but from 1935 introduced a design built in large numbers with little difference - an extra re-inforcing stanchion was added to the ends from lot 1417 in 1946. Both clasp vacuum brake and unfit were used initially, BR vac braked many of the latter, but a few survived with just one brake per axle. Collection includes a few earlier wagons.
