The Puffing Billy Railway is a heritage line. Although only 2ft 6in narrow gauge considerable trains run into the Mountains from Belgrave, north west of Melbourne. Trains were only running on the lower half of the line when we visited. The surroundings are beautiful and the Lakeside Park is a lovely destination, with a simple walk back to Emerald.
