H M Naval Dockyard, Portsmouth: Royal Naval Armaments Depot (RNAD) Bedenham, Gosport.
A visit in August 1993 made when the stock had been prepared for disposal. Many of the wagons had bodies rebuilt. or heavily modified, on older frames - frequently stock specially built for WD in WW1 and WW2.
There are some gems amongst that lot; did much make it into preservation? It all seems to be in a very tidy condition, though this is perhaps to be expected from the Grey Funnel Line.
I recollect that the Speedlink service from Eastleigh that brought in munitions for trans-shipping at Bedenham used to rejoice in the nickname of the 'Bedenham Bomber'.
The guestbook is empty.
