In 1988 Standard wagon introduced an inovative concept of aggregate wagons which unloaded onto a conveyor, linked between wagons to a discharging wagon. This wagon, which could be at the centre or end of trains, could convey the aggregate to yards alongside the line, if necessary over fencing etc. They are intensively used.
