A brief visit to the metre gauge railway at Uyuni on 6 October 2019 where numerous steam locomotives and wagons are dumped. This is the edge of the enormous salt lake. There is a railway operating from Uyuni to Chile but the line from Sucre only remains as a local footpath. Uyuni is at an altitude greater than 3,800 metres so the locomotives required considerable haulage capacity and many of the relics are large.
