VTG is a large German company which operates many railway wagons. Usually they are registered in Germany however they also have various batches registered in Britain including the two batches of wagons illustrated here, both of which were operating for ICI from Haverton Hill. There were 24 in the 2xxx series built about 1980 and a further 18 in the 5xxx series about 1981.
